Gold: Used in Electrical Industry

For thousand of years ago and until now, gold has been used as an ornament of Kings and Queens.  They are important in making statues and icons before.  Some countries embed thinly sheets of gold to their religious temples.  Aside from these, gold had been a global standard for currency.  Scientific studies found that gold could be used in electrical industry and even medical technology.  One of gold’s properties which made it a remarkable metal is that it never rust nor tarnish.  This is because gold don’t form oxide film on its surface in air at normal temperature.

Gold is the only metal that has this property.  Gold is also virtually indestructible.  Another property of gold is its high electrical conductivity and chemical inertness which made it capable to harsh environment where the temperature is high.  Gold is an excellent and reliable electricity conductor.  Equipment operations are more reliable when gold is used in its circuitry.

Gold also provides reliability in safety airbag activation and in the deployment of aircraft and satellite.  Because gold provides high electrical conductivity, it is extremely demanded by many electrical devices.  It is important in the production of computers, TVs, videocameras, cellphones, DVDs and VCRs.
